My local IPMS chapter (IPMS-DC) chose the Academy P-40 for this years build the same kit event. Since I married a Kiwi, I've decided to build the P-40N, as a RNZAF bird. I suppose that someone might build an Aussie bird, but I doubt there will be another Kiwi on the table!


I found this Aeromaster set at Squadron, and it has markings for two different Kiwi P-40's. I've decided to model "Glory Lyons," although as a later model P-40N than is represented on the decal sheet.

I stumbled across an excellent site run by Peter Mossong, RNZAF Pacific WWII Homepage, that has tons of great information on modeling Kiwi aircraft in general, and also this particular aircraft.
